North Manitou Island in the 90’s

Ran across a stack of old photos from a circa mid-1990’s backpacking trip to North Manitou Island. It’s part of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Scanned a couple of the good ones. There’s one linked above taken on the East-West Trail, here’s another, taken possibly at the Johnson Place.

Here are some more recent photos from the island.

Where to find the best history of North Manitou.

Now, here’s something new from the Sleeping Bear area.

UPDATE: Did a little searchy-search and ran across a series of photos from a volunteer helping to preserve one of the buildings on North Manitou.
