I recently had the pleasure and privilege of attending a speech at Western Michigan University given by Louis Zamperini.

An Olympic athlete in the 1936 Berlin games, he went on to serve in WWII, survived a plane crash into the ocean, 46 days adrift in a life raft, then capture and a stint as a Japanese POW.
