A first one, and a nice one.

Hard to believe it took me until June to get the kayak into the water, but it did.

It was worth the wait. Screwed up the camera settings so instead of a time lapse I got 2, yes 2 whole shots and then inadvertently shut the thing off. Click to see one of them.

Mostly a quiet sunset ride, enjoyed the swooping, skimming flight of the purple martins over the water. They sing while they fly because they must know how beautiful they are. A day-long rain cleared out just before sunset and a mist rose from the water’s surface after the sun set. Got back just after dark. 10/10, would paddle this again.
